When I told her it was a military term meaning the center of a nuclear explosion, she then asked why we are calling the WTC site "Ground Zero"? I couldn't say.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35971466.post-78279939585010660272010-09-13T08:49:01.198-07:002010-09-13T08:49:01.198-07:00Hi Joe, since I don't have your email, I'l...Hi Joe, since I don't have your email, I'll just leave you this link to my blog post about my last trip to Japan. You can leave a comment on it if you want.

I check in to your blog pretty much every day and I've always loved it.

Oh, and 'scuse all the French.

http://montrealfoodblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/holy-moses.htmlChefNickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14506706291656673082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35971466.post-50671579888346517962010-09-13T08:27:22.285-07:002010-09-13T08:27:22.285-07:00Dear Sir:

Yet standing at the top of the World Trade Center (Tower Two), with family from Kansas the month before the towers were destroyed, the view was the horizon. From the perspective of "Ground Zero," the view is straight down. To honor those who perished, the view again needs to be the horizon.

Hopefully you will have started a trend.

Fondest regards,
Jack RiepeJack Riepehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531160098262862027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35971466.post-26314642149045210982010-09-12T20:05:48.354-07:002010-09-12T20:05:48.354-07:00Thanks, Joe - this inapt nomenclature has bothered...Thanks, Joe - this inapt nomenclature has bothered me for the last decade as well.
